If you don’t have an appointment for your second dose
Some people may be feeling concerned that they haven’t received an appointment for their second dose yet.
This will be because centres are not booking people in until they have had confirmation of vaccine supply.
Nobody will be forgotten.
If you received your first vaccine through an appointment made by your GP Practice, they will contact you by the 12th week to book you in. If you are already in your 12th week and haven’t received an appointment please contact your GP in the first instance.
If you received your first vaccine by calling 119 or booking on-line at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination please go back through this method to book your second dose. Don’t be concerned if you can’t see an appointment straight away, bookings are released daily, so keep trying.
We aim to provide a high standard of medical care in a friendly and professional manner.
All surgeries by an appointment only system. Appointments with a doctor or practice nurse can be booked up to six weeks in advance. We have a nurse practitioner who can see patients for minor illnesses and on the day appointments are available, but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.
Outside our Monday to Friday opening hours, and all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays, your call will be redirected to the NHS 111 service.
The NHS 111 service is intended to provide URGENT medical attention for ill patients. If it is abused by calling for non emergencies which could wait until the next surgery, other patients could be put at risk.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
The Luton Extended Access Service has been available since 4th September 2018 for all Luton patients to book routine appointments with a GP, Practice Nurse or Healthcare Assistant through your practice.
This service operates Monday to Friday evenings from 18:00 – 21:00 and Saturday and Sunday mornings from 08:30 – 14:30 at two local GP Practices. The service does not operate from within our Practice but patients will be offered appointments at Medici Medical Centre or Gardenia and Marsh Farm Practice.
Patients unable to get to clinics at our surgery for Chronic Disease Management such as Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension and Rheumatoid Arthritis may attend these clinics to have reviews. The clinicians in this service will have full access to your GP records from the surgery.
For more information regarding the Extended Access service or to book an appointment please contact our reception team in person or on the phone.
Appointments for the Luton Extended Access service cannot be booked online.
